Latisse Eyelash Treatment for Fuller, Thicker Eyelashes

Full, flirty lashes are one of the most feminine qualities in a woman. Products like mascara, eyelash extensions and eyelash curlers help women achieve darker, longer lashes, but only offer a temporary solution. With Latisse, patients can obtain long-lasting results with the revolutionary once daily eyelash treatment. Latisse is the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment to enhance the length, thickness and darkness of the eyelashes.

Clinically Proven Results

Latisse is a topical treatment of bimatoprost, which has been proven to stimulate eyelash growth. In clinical trials, patients were asked to gently apply a thin layer of Latisse nightly to the base of their eyelashes, similar to how they would apply liquid eyeliner. By four weeks, patients noted their lashes were noticeably darker, thicker and longer. Within 16 weeks, patients experienced dramatic transformations of their eyelashes. In the clinical trials more than78% of patients reported fuller, darker, longer lashes within 16 weeks.

Candidates for Latisse

The first step is to speak with Dr. Jackson to find out if the Latisse solution to grow eyelashes is right for you. Not everyone with eyelash loss or inadequate eyelashes is a candidate for Latisse, and people with certain eye conditions should avoid Latisse. You should not use Latisse if you have an active eye condition, including an eye infection, or have broken or irritated skin on your eyelid. If you are using certain eye products for specific eye diseases or conditions it is important that you not use Latisse until after consulting with Dr. Jackson.

Applying Latisse

Latisse is applied nightly using provided sterile applicators. Before applying Latisse, your face should be clean and free of makeup, and your contacts should be removed. Using a supplied sterile applicator, place a single drop of Latisse near the applicator tip. The applicator should then be drawn along the skin at the base of the upper eyelashes, from the inner to outer portion of your eyelash line. Latisse should be applied only to the upper eyelid and never the lower eyelid; the solution will naturally spread to the lower eyelash line.  Additional application of Latisse to the lower eyelid may cause excess growth. Excess Latisse should be blotted with a tissue, and the applicator should be disposed after one use.

Latisse Results

Most of our patients notice multiple stages of changes while using Latisse. In the beginning, they notice their current lashes begin to get longer. Then new lashes begin to grow, making the lash line appear thicker. Finally these lashes begin to darken and the full result is noticed.  Full results are typically seen within two months of nightly Latisse treatment, although some report more immediate results.

Latisse on average makes lashes 25% longer, 106% thicker and 18% darker after 16 weeks of use. Like every beauty routine, applying Latisse is about consistency and precision. As the treatment progresses, you’ll begin to see changes gradually. After applying Latisse each night for 16 weeks, full results will be visible.
